Job Description

Rule 1 is seeking a Content Marketing Manager to join their studio team. This is a dynamic role that will work closely with Rule 1’s Head of Marketing. You will also work closely with the CEO’s of the various start-ups in Rule 1’s studio in order to help them effectively position their products and reach their target market. A strategist and creative, you’ll be responsible for helping establish messaging and writing compelling copy across all mediums, ensuring and optimizing for performance. This role is essential in the growth of Rule 1’s start-ups.


  • Understand and document start-ups target persona’s and market, establishing their story-brand framework and clearly outlining their positioning in the market
  • Craft compelling, well-researched, content to drive traffic, engage and convert target customers, and improve shared content across all channels; content to include white papers, blog posts, website copy, eBooks, case studies, webinars, videos, presentations, speeches, and other content as needed
  • Lead research to drive thought leadership that fuels white papers, webinars, press, awareness that position Rule 1’s start-ups as thought leaders leaders
  • Develop a content strategy that supports developing thought leadership, driving awareness and traffic, nurturing sales, and closing deals.
  • Create A/B tests and continually look for ways to measure and document content effectiveness in order to improve future content
  • Collaborate with CEO’s and Head of Marketing Working to develop and execute campaigns to drive engagement with content
  • Aid in the communication and development of visual assets (ads, headers, ebooks, etc.)

Experience Required

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, communications or content-focused roles
  • Excellent formal and conversational copy writing skills
  • Experience writing ad and email copy ● Excellent knowledge of content marketing strategy
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Experience with WordPress preferred
  • Experience with audience and buyer persona research
  • Data-driven with a strong understanding of best practice content KPIs
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced matrixed environment
